Costs for MRI Program

UMMC's Office of Student Accounting maintains tuition and fees, including information about SHRP graduate programs such as the master's-level Magnetic Resonance Imaging program. Students should review the tuition tables on the Student Accounting website for additional information regarding tuition, fees, and related expenses.

 As stated in the UMMC Bulletin, the Medical Center reserves the right to increase or modify tuition and fees without prior notice subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning.

 

Computer/electronic devices

Students are required to have a computer. An external webcam and microphone are also required.

To ensure that you have a computer that meets minimum standards to function with UMMC platforms, it must at least function at the following levels:

  • Latest version of Windows 10 or newer OR Macintosh: OS X Catalina (10.15) or newer; 
  • Must be patched by operating system company regularly
  • Modern browser such as the latest Chrome or Internet Explorer/Edge
  • Must run a modern and updated anti-virus solution.

We do not recommend any thin client devices such as Chromebooks or Google books.

Note for MRI students:  You will use your device to perform the following tasks:

  1. Type papers, etc.
  2. Download PowerPoint presentations
  3. Downloaded worksheets, etc. 

Travel to off-campus clinical rotations

Students are required to travel to off-campus clinical rotations. Therefore, students should be prepared to provide their own transportation and other incidental expenses during these clinical affiliations.

Withdrawal/tuition refunds

Please note that the Magnetic Resonance Imaging curriculum is designed to be sequential (i.e., all courses for each semester are prerequisites for courses in subsequent semesters). Students are not allowed to withdraw from a single class without withdrawing from the entire program. When a student becomes interested in withdrawing from the program, the UMMC Bulletin provides details regarding the institution's withdrawal policy and related tuition refunds. Withdrawal dates are highlighted on the SHRP academic calendar.
